Ability Groups
Neons
The Neons are the first group at Swimming Solutions, for children who are ready to swim without a parent or carer. The group is based upon ability rather than age. The earlier a child starts interacting with the water, the sooner they are ready to advance to the next exciting levels of learning to swim. This group encourages floating on the back and front WITH their face in the water, it also works towards correct front and back crawl kicking.
Goldfish
The Goldfish are the second ability group at swimming solutions. Children will be taught correct front and backstroke kicking with correct breathing to one side. “Bubble, bubble, breath!” They will also be taught basic front crawl and backstroke arm pulls.
Starfish
When we feel the above pupils are ready, they will be moved to Starfish. Here their stamina will be increased while they learn to breath on both sides (bi-lateral) in front crawl. Backstroke will also be greatly improved at this level.
Angelfish

When ready, pupils will move to this group and learn a “high elbow” front crawl. The backstroke is refined more, and they will also learn how to do a correct breaststroke kick, a very difficult skill for most pupils to master quickly.
Frogs
Our final level of 'Learn-to-swim', this level will maintain the pupils competency at both Front crawl and Backstroke. Breaststroke is the main focus of this group, introducing correct arm pulls and also there will be an introduction to Butterfly.
